Ahead of Saturday’s tantalising Manchester Derby with so many sub-plots it could well be a Steven Spielberg masterpiece, here’s a (not so) friendly reminder of what Zlatan Ibrahimovic  thinks of City coach Pep Guardiola.

The two of course are not the best of pals, falling out during their time together at Barcelona in 2009 with contrasting personalities and egos.

“Barcelona was like school, or some sort of institution,” Zlatan described the club as.

But he saved his most prized words for the famed Spanish maestro. Below is an extract from his book, I am Zlatan:

It seems as though Zlatan and Jose Mourinho have a completely contrasting relationship, evident by this quote from an interview in 2011:

“My problem at Barcelona was with one man, and that was the Philosopher. With Mourinho I could go out and kill for him. That was the motivation he gave me. With the other one it was football … football … but you have to adjust with the players you have, especially when you buy a player for 70 million [euros]. You don’t buy him to watch the birds on the trees.”

On Saturday, Zlatan will have his chance for revenge and Pep, another chance to silence the doubters. We can’t wait!
