Mooy just not enough

Another surprise inclusion in the squads was that of Socceroo Aaron Mooy. The midfielder had hardly touched down in Australia after the Socceroos’ match against Jordan before being named in the squad. After starting for Australia, he would only play a bit-part role from the bench. While his dead ball ability proved the most threatening aspect of his side’s second half, they would not capitalise.

With little of the ball in the second half, Mooy struggled to make the kind of impact he is more than capable of. Stay tuned, however, as the Socceroo looks primed to achieve big things this season.
