Perth are still the Jet’s bogey team
November 5th, 2011 was the last time the Newcastle Jets beat Perth Glory. To put that into perspective, the last time the Jets beat Perth Glory in any competition, Colonel Gaddafi was still alive, the Occupy Wall Street protests had just begun and Rihanna and Calivn Harris were top of the music charts with “We Found Love”. It is now 1, 604 days and counting since Newcastle fans were able to celebrate victory over the Glory. The record includes 16 games in the league, two games in the FFA Cup, and today’s win makes it 10 in a row against the Jets. It’s an unwanted record, and one which confirms Perth are well and truly Newcastle’s bogey team.
