Eugene Galekovic – Goalkeeper – Adelaide United

The Adelaide skipper produced a solid performance in goals as his side romped to a 4-0 win against Wellington. The veteran shot-stopper dealt with everything that came his way throughout the match. Galekovic claimed yet another well-deserved clean sheet as the Reds moved to the top of the table.

Michael Marrone – Right-back – Adelaide United

The fullback produced the game he has become known for, hardworking and selfless when working up and down the pitch for the entire 90 minutes. He did his job defensively, keeping out the Phoenix attackers.

Jade North – Central-defence – Brisbane Roar

North showed one of his better efforts  in recent weeks as the Roar won 3-2 against the Western Sydney Wanderers. His leadership was key at the back in such a big match. The highlight of the 34-year-old’s night came courtesy of a goal saving tackle on Romeo Castelen.

Alex Wilkinson – Central-defence – Melbourne City

Arguably the best performance from Wilkinson since he signed for Melbourne City. The veteran defender commanded the back four alongside captain Patrick Kisnorbo in the victory against Sydney. The Socceroo was strong in the tackle throughout the match as he set the tone for the rest of his side.

Josh Risdon – Left-back – Perth Glory

His solid outings in recent weeks have probably earned him a spot in the next Socceroos squad. Against the Jets he was a constant threat going forward and looked dangerous on a number of occasions. Risdon was also expert in his defensive duties throughout the match.

Jai Ingham – Right-wing – Melbourne Victory

Handed his first A-League start by Kevin Muscat and the man signed from Hume City in January more than returned the faith. Ingham wreaked havoc against a Mariners team who continue to lack confidence. The youngster laid on the assists for both of his side’s goals.

George Mells – Central-midfield – Adelaide United

Protecting your back four is not the most glamorous of positions, but Mells excelled in this role at the weekend. The youngster stood up to every challenge that the Wellington Phoenix threw at him, showing experience beyond his years. Could be one to watch if his performances continue.

Stefan Mauk – Central-midfield – Adelaide United

What were Melbourne City thinking when they let this man go? Mauk produced yet another great performance for Adelaide as they won 4-0 away from home. The Olyroo grabbed himself another goal for his new side, but could have easily of had more if he took his chances.

Diego Castro – Left-wing – Perth Glory

Continued his fine form this season with yet another dominant outing against the Jets. Castro controlled the tempo of the game for Perth, a real sign of his great instincts on the pitch. The Spaniard came to life in the second-half where he managed to lay off an assist for Gyorgy Sandor.

Jamie Maclaren – Striker – Brisbane Roar

The young striker continues to show why Brisbane were so keen to sign him at the start of the season. Maclaren managed to get in behind the defence on a number of occasions and found the back of the net twice with two well taken goals. Will be hard for him to be ignored for Socceroos selection.

Bruno Fornaroli – Striker – Melbourne City

What more is there to say about this man, he just continues to amaze. Fornaroli continued his impressive season as he grabbed his first A-League hat-trick. Despite getting a bit of a helping hand from the Sydney defence he showed why City will be scrambling to secure his services for next season. It is hard seeing anyone catching him for the Golden Boot come April.
