Melbourne City striker Bruno Fornaroli says he has no plans to leave Australia once his contract expires.

The Uruguayan has one year remaining on his deal and currently sits at the top of the golden boot race with 20 goals in season 2015-16.

“At the moment I don’t have any offers from anywhere,” Fornaroli said.

“My mind is here, this place is beautiful and I enjoy it here.

“I’m very happy here, in the change room. The people working in the club support me every time, they help me every time.

“My roommate (Connor Chapman) is good to me, also my family is happy here and nothing has come up for the future.

“At the moment I feel great, I feel good.”

Fornaroli turned heads once again in City’s 3-0 disposal of Sydney FC last week, scoring the first hat-trick for the Victorian outfit.

The 28-year-old was deemed the best foreign signing in the A-League by many with his stellar performances.

“I’m happy for this, I can’t say that I’m good or not,” he said.

“Of course people talk, it’s good for me, I’m happy but I can’t say I’m the best.

“It’s not for me to say, I think this is for you to say.”

City currently sit fourth on the table with a clash against league leaders Adelaide United looming on Friday night.

Only four points separate the two, which makes the fixture all the more crucial with five games left in the season.

Fornaroli conceded the league was tougher than he expected before arriving.

“It’s harder. When I came in, it was a surprise. It’s not easy to play, very strong,” he said.

“For my game it’s important to score, I’m happy for this. But the most important thing for me is winning, for the league and this team.

“We’re only four points off United in the league.

“If we play well and work hard it’s possible to win the league.”
