Perth Glory

Ante Covic – 7: Made one superb save from Vidosic in the first half, but could do little about the goal. A strong return to Parramatta.

Josh Risdon – 7: After a slow start, grew into the match and was solid at the back. Tried to create openings further forward, but had little help from his teammates.

Anthony Golec – 6: Caught out of position many times and the Wanderers constantly exploited the space in behind him. Looked nervy in possession as well.

Dino Djulbic – 5: Came in under an injury cloud, and gave the ball away uncharacteristically on a few occasions. After a couple of good performances, he’ll be disappointed with this one.

Michael Thwaite – 7: Strong at the back and helped marshal a defence constantly under pressure from the Wanderers. Moved into midfield late in an attempt to rescue a point.

Marc Warren – 6: Looked unsettled on the ball. Copped an early booking which put him on notice from the referee for the rest of the game. Dragged off at half time.

Diogo Ferreira – 5: Another quiet game in the centre of the park. Failed to quell the attacking influence of Vidosic and Nichols.

Nebojsa Marinkovic – 6: Was ok, but nothing more. Made the right pass, but once again failed to exert enough influence on proceedings.

Hagi Gligor – 5: Looked out of depth, in the rare moments he was noticeable at all. Work rate off the ball was incredibly poor, failed to close down his opponents and also

Richard Garcia – 6: Struggled in the first half to get into the game at all. Looked better in the second half when he was shifted out onto the wing, but still failed to have the impact he would’ve liked.

Sidnei – 4:  Like Garcia, was almost invisible in the first half as Perth struggled to get the ball to his feet. Improved in the second half, but still endured a frustrating day.

Substitutes

Guyon Fernandez – 4:  Struggled to get into the game, although a lack of service didn’t help his causes. Offered more of a presence up front than either of Garcia or Sidnei.

Alex Grant – 5: Solid performance off the bench on debut.

Aryn Williams – 5: An urgent, late call up to the squad (he was only signed on Saturday), didn’t look out of place at A-League level.
