Borussia Monchengladbach recorded their sixth Bundesliga victory in a row, brushing aside Hertha Berlin at the Olympastadion on Saturday.
Andre Schubert’s men started strongly as Oscar Wendt rifled home following some good work from Fabian Johnson, before goals from Raffael, Harvard Nordtveit and a spot-kick from Granit Xhaka extended the margin.
Berlin got a goal back after Thorgan Hazard gave a way a penalty late on in the match, a problem which Gladbach have still yet to sort out. Alexander Baumjohann converted to reduce the deficit, but it was merely a futile consolation.
