Wellington Phoenix
Glen Moss – 6.5: Had very little to do but made one great save in the first half to keep the scores level.
Thomas Doyle – 6: Solid performance at the back, was not able to get forward and support the attack like he usually does.
Manny Muscat – 7: Not in his natural position at centre-back but did not look out of place at all. Showed great composure on the ball and was able to keep a lid on the Sydney attacks.
Andrew Durante – 7: Another solid performance from Durante, barely put a foot wrong in this contest.
Justin Gulley – 6.5: Was very solid at the back and held his shape well.
Albert Riera – 7.5: Controlled the midfield well and was able to slow most of the Sydney attacks before they got going.
Alex Rodriguez – 6.5: Played the box-to-box position very well and was able to keep possession when he was put under pressure.
Roly Bonevacia – 6: Struggled to have his usual influence on the game, possibly due to the amount of times he was fouled as he failed to get any consistency.
Louis Fenton – 6: He started in the front three and was moved to right-back after Gulley was subbed off. Used as a more defensive option to Sarpong and this seemed obvious by the lack of conviction in the Wellington attack.
Michael McGlinchey – 4: Failed to have any influence on the game, lacked service throughout the game.
Roy Krishna – 4: Similar to McGlinchey, he struggled to get into the game. Went missing.
Substitutions
Blake Powell – 5: Worked hard but failed to get into the game.
Jeffrey Sarpong – 5: Failed to get into the game and have any effect after being introduced off the bench.
Vince Lia – N/A: Made his return from injury off the bench for the Nix for the final few minutes.
