Is this the end of Spurs’ defensive dominance

Even though the team eventually came out on top, moments such as Hugo Lloris dancing with danger and trying to be clever with his feet made Spurs fans draw a sharp breath. There was also moments where they did not close the danger down quick enough, allowing Bournemouth to get the shot away.

The hosts were perhaps unlucky to not enter the break with more of a foothold in the game, their earlier misfortunes were eradicated with better play at the back and on the rest of the field.

Pochettino’s side continued their unbeaten run, which is now up to nine games in a row in the Premier League; something the manager can be happy with.

Harry Kane is back on track

Leading into this game,  Kane had only scored one goal in the Premier League despite a copious amount of attempts.
In fact, he had scored equally as many goals at the other end as his own, but At Dean Court he quadrupled his goal tally against Bournemouth, with a striker’s hunger and instinct to poach goals.

Tottenham are now up to sixth in the Premier League table with his help, edging their way into the top four. Hopefully Kane can carry this momentum and confidence with him into the next few games.
