Sanchez exceptional against Leicester
After a frustrating start to the league campaign, Alexis Sanchez will hope his hat-trick against Leicester City jumpstarts his season. After six games in the league, no player had taken more shots than the Chilean. His unluckiness led him to become frustrated and it was visible that he was trying to force the issue. However, his three goals at the King Power Stadium were all well taken in an exhilarating Arsenal performance. Their passing was fluid and assured and Sanchez linked up play well with help from the likes of Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil. It is crucial that he maintains consistency – Sanchez is the main man for the Gunners.
Leicester were better than scoreline suggested
Despite a 5-2 loss, Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester were much better than the scoreline suggested. They were impressive again in attack with Jamie Vardy scoring an impressive brace. However, the general consensus was that, in an end-to-end game, there was only going to be one winner. Against a slow centre-back pairing of Robert Huth and Wes Morgan, Arsenal exposed Leicester’s lack of pace with their own abundance of it. Yet, the Foxes still tried to press the Gunners throughout.
