Arsenal lose to Chelsea… Again
Arsenal’s underwhelming record against Chelsea in the last decade continued on Saturday afternoon. This game, which offers a contrast in styles with Arsenal usually proactive and attack-minded and Chelsea reactive and pragmatic, was a little different here. In the past Arsenal have seemed too frail against Chelsea and have usually been outnumbered, out powered and generally outwitted. It was a pity that this trend continued again. The Gunners tried to play Chelsea at their own game hoping to counter and use their pace upfront to their advantage but the naivety throughout their team cost them again. Gabriel, controversially it must be said got himself stupidly sent off and from there it was an uphill task as goals from Kurt Zouma and Eden Hazard secured the win for the Blues. It must leave some in deep contemplation about how a team so meek, mentally weak and gullible can ever win the league.
