City’s perfect start put to an end
After two consecutive losses Manchester City fans must be feeling uncertain about their team. This loss to West Ham was reminiscent of many of their losses last season and their defence without their captain Vincent Kompany displayed a lack of concentration and care. It was these traits which so characterised their performances last year and this should be of worry to Manuel Pellegrini. The Citizens dominated the game, bossing possession and taking 27 shots all resulting in just one goal. Yet with all their superiority their defence when called on came up short and conceded two poorly defended goals. As good a start as they have made, if you want to win the title, winnable home games like this cannot be thrown away.
