Inter beginning to show their attacking impetus

Following on from a first half that saw little to no action up top for both sides, Inter came out in the second half with a real attacking intent, showcasing a certain type of threat that has rarely been seen by Inter fans in 2015-16.

With more fluid movement and production coming from midfield, Jovetic was able to torment the home side’s defence and carve out chances – with his lobbed ball over the top putting Biabiany in an advanced position for which to deliver the match’s opening goal.

And even when the Nerazzurri went down to 10 men after Jeison Murillo picked up his second yellow of the game, the motivation to get forward did not falter, as Mancini’s side looked even more threatening and more likely to find a winning goal. This, ultimately, did not come, though positive signs were on show in this clash, and Interisti will hope for a similar attacking intent in future Serie A fixtures.
