Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur played out an thrilling 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium on Super Sunday.

Andre Ayew opened the scoring while Hary Kane’s own goal later put the Swans back in front after Christian Eriksen’s equaliser. The Dan again bobbed up to earn Spurs a share of the spoils.

Swansea faired much better than they had in previous matches through September. The Jacks had good spells during the match, though their drop in performance could have cost them even the draw.

In the end, both teams could have found a winner and both Garry Monk and Mauricio Pochettino will be happy with the point from this game.

Swansea City

Lukasz Fabianski – 4: A poor game. Should have done better in the case of both goals.

Angel Rangel – 6: Had a solid game, good enough for a first Premier League match of the season.

Federico Fernandez – 7: Received a silly yellow card that led to a goal, but was good overall.

Ashley Williams – 8: Another outstanding performance. Orchestrated the defence with six clearances from the box.

Neil Taylor – 7: Neutralised both Lamela and Townsend, giving no space to Tottenham’s right-wingers.

Ki Sung-yueng – 7: Replaced Jack Cork in the starting XI with a good performance, playing well in both directions.

Jonjo Shelvey – 6: Committed only one foul but that led to a goal. Was a bit slow on the ball when Swansea were starting attacks.

Andre Ayew – 8: Great display, scored a header, created chances and helped Rangel defensively.

A happy man: Andre Ayew

Gylfi Sigurdsson – 6: Slight improvement from previous matches, yet Swansea are not exploiting the centre of the pitch enough.

Jefferson Montero – 7: Unable to create many chances as he was followed by Walker all the time.

Bafetimbi Gomis – 5: Poor performance once again. His finishing was poor, especially a header that could have sealed the victory.
