After Liverpool’s disappointing start to the season and ongoing speculation about Brendan Rodgers’ future, the Northern-Irishman has been sacked by the club.
The 42-year-old has been under constant scrutiny for much of the past 18 months, given the team’s lack of improvement following a second-placed finish in the league in 2013-14.
Rodgers’ spending at Liverpool almost reached 300 million pounds, and after sitting in 10th place following a lacklustre start to the Premier League, the club finally decided enough was enough.
