A hat-trick from Harry Kane was enough to secure three points for the visitors, while Bournemouth were left reeling after their second 5-1 loss in as many weeks.
The day started as well as the Cherries could have hoped, with Matt Ritchie snatching the opening goal within the first minute of play. But it would not last as Spurs pegged back three goals before the half time break.
A second half brace from Kane would see out the win and complete the young Englishman’s hat-trick, the second of his career. Kane is now the youngest Premier League player to ever accomplish the feat at only 22.
The result puts Tottenham on the cusp of the top five, two points off a resilient Leicester City. Results elsewhere have been generous to Bournemouth. Eddie Howe’s men avoided the relegation zone thanks to Aston Villa and Newcastle both failing to pick up points this weekend.
