AFC Bournemouth

Artur Boruc – 1: Made multiple mistake that lead directly to Tottenham goals, not least of all a poor challenge on Kane in the opening minutes which lead to a penalty and ultimately cost the hosts their only lead of the game.

Simon Francis – 6: Did not get forward as well as he usually does but looked sturdy in defence.

Sylvain Distin – 4: A bit shambolic in his man-marking at times, could have done more to affect the tide of Tottenham attacks.

Steve Cook – 5: Not convincing enough at the back. Struggled to pick up Tottenham attackers as they poured forward and lost track of Harry Kane in a couple of pivotal instances.

Charlie Daniels – 6: Started well, providing the cross that lead to Ritchie’s opener, but did very little else to affect the result.

Matt Ritchie – 7: Beside picking up the opening goal for his side, the Scottish international battled over the course of the 90 minutes. At times appeared the only Bournemouth player who had not already accepted defeat.

Andrew Surman – 4: An underwhelming performance from the Cherries pass-master. Often hesitated for too long on the ball and lost possession more than Bournemouth could afford.

Dan Gosling – 4: Worked hard in defence, but to no avail. His recent form in attack did not show.

Marc Pugh – 5: Did not influence play as often as he probably should have and was subbed for Adam Smith midway through the second half. Very little to report – positive or negative.

Joshua King – 5: Had a couple of opportunities to get on the scoresheet, but failed to convert when the time came. It is starting to become something of a trend for the young Englishman.

Glenn Murray – 4: Did his best to apply pressure to the Spurs defence but achieved very little.

Substitutes

Adam Smith – 5: Brought on to play his usual terrier style of football which he succeeded in doing.

Eunan O’Kane – 3.5: Came into the game as the substitute number 10 and continues to show an inability to play the role.

Yann Kermorgant – 4: Came on to replace Murray, but quickly found himself detached from the rest of play. Not what you look for in a substitute striker.
