Jonathan de Guzman, Napoli
One of Bournemouth’s preseason targets, de Guzman will likely be at the top of Howe’s priorities when the transfer window reopens. Extremely close to moving to the south of England back in August, a niggling groin injury kept the deal from going through.
With Christmas appraoching, de Guzman is still yet to make an appearance for Napoli and according to his agent Fabio Parisi, the midfielder is eager to find a new home.
“De Guzman has understood that it is useless to stay and he’s looking for a team that will accommodate him… The Premier League has a lot of money and several of the teams fighting to avoid relegation could well try to land him,” Parisi said in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss.
With a buyout clause of £4.4 million, de Guzman is a player of international quality – having made numerous appearances for the Dutch national side – that Bournemouth’s purse could afford.
