The AVPL Season 5 Final for Xbox pits the dominant minor premiers La Masia CF against the newly merged team of HereForBeer FC.

Season 5 of Australia & New Zealand’s premier Xbox clubs competition has brought us some interesting teams, some great matches, one team pulling away at the end and a mad dash for others to make the final five. It is, however, quite fitting that the final shall be contested between La Masia CF and HereForBeer FC, who finished first and second respectively.

Some matches are won and lost by the acrobatics of one teams goalkeepers, some the solidity of their defenders, some by the creativeness of their midfielders, and others by the clinical finishing of their attackers. Here we will break down each team, highlighting some players that have the ability to step up and make their mark on the final.

La Masia CF

Goalkeeper – Michu1 – 13 clean sheets in 20 matches shows the ability of Michu, who has risen to become one of the top goalkeepers on AUSFIFA. Will no doubt make some telling saves in the final.

Defender – IIVivid – Does not have the most defender clean sheets in the competition, whose crown goes to fellow La Masia member Marco Pulo, however Vivid attained his 14 clean sheets in just 18 games. Can be an absolute brick wall for attackers to get past.

Midfielder – Jayninho7 – The quality of Jayninho has never been in question. Being one of the top midfielders on AUSFIFA, he has proved his worth this season by netting 14 goals to go along with his 16 assists in 26 matches, an average of 1.2 score involvements per game. Also adept at putting his foot in, with 48 tackles this season.

Attacker – NeymarSnr – A quality winger in La Masias famed 4-3-3 formation, Neymar has also been heavily involved in the goals, with 1.2 score involvements per game. His 14 goals and 16 assists could be crucial for the final.

HereForBeer FC

Goalkeeper – NZPure – Highly rated as one of the best goalkeepers going around, Pure made the decision to represent HereForBeer, and he has been rewarded with another AVPL final. A quality man between the sticks.

Defender – Hainesy – A quality defender who has attained 12 clean sheets this season, Hainesy knows just when to put his foot in. Capable of stopping even the best attackers.

Midfielder – Spudwiezer7 – This man is the ultimate big game player, proving his quality in the final of the XAFPL with Newcastle. With 9 goals and 9 assists in 20 games and the ability to keep a cool head under pressure, this is a man to keep your eye on.

Attacker – Emery – Capable of scoring from absolutely anywhere, Emery is one of the top strikers going around. He is partnered with Spencerdullard7 in a deadly front two. 12 goals and 8 assists in 24 games shows the quality he possesses.

One thing is for sure, this match will be tight.
