Bradden Inman is a name being thrown around as a possible inclusion for the Socceroos’ upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Tajikistan and Jordan at the end of March.

Many Australian football fans may not be familiar with the 24-year-old, who plies his trade in the third tier of English Football for Crewe Alexandra.

In recent weeks the central-midfielder has netted six goals in his last six games as he has inspired the Railwaymen off the foot of the table in Football League One.

The 175cm tall midfielder was born and raised in South Australia before he moved to English Premier League club Newcastle United aged 16, although he would fail to make an appearance for the senior side.

Despite growing up in Adelaide Inman has previous international experience, playing at the junior level representing Scotland. The Crewe Alexandra No.10 was able to play for their national youth programme due to his mother’s heritage.

He has won seven caps for the Scots at the under 19 level and averaged just shy of a goal every two games, managing to find the back of the net three times.

Inman would initially link-up with his current club during a loan spell during the 2012-13 season, where he made 21 appearances and scored five goals.

Crewe Alexandra determined the stint a success and acted swiftly to capture the Australian on a permanent deal.

Following the move, he has gone on to make 85 appearances for the club and has arguably been their best player this season.

Enjoying a breakout campaign at the club, Inman has begun to draw attention from Championship clubs including Bolton Wanderers and MK Dons, according to the Daily Mail.

The Australian is out of contract at season’s end and it is difficult to see Crewe Alexandra keeping hold of the talented youngster, especially if they are to be relegated to Football League Two.
