Di Maria hype a little premature
The first to admit that Angel Di Maria’s acquisition from Manchester United has lifted PSG will also be the first to admit that his performance against Shakhtar was his worst so far for the club. Still managing to provide an assist, it was not all bad for Di Maria, however, he did have many opportunities to do better and did not take them. If PSG are to have success in their next two Champions League games against Real Madrid, the Argentine will need to be at his absolute best, as will the rest of the team. Blanc’s men look to be on cruise control at times and coming up against the might of Madrid may prove to be a catalyst to bigger and better performances.
