Newcastle Continue to stumble

A very frustrating night at both ends of the pitch for Scott Miller’s side as they not only conceded four, but failed to create chances at the other end. Trifunovic who is usually crucial in the Jets attack with his hold up play did not show up and was caught offside on far too many occasions. The lack of depth at the Jets has been shown in recent weeks and they will be eager to get club captain Nigel Boogaard back as soon as possible to help sure up things at the back.

The main talking point from a Jets perspective was whether or not Sorenson should have received further punishment following a tangle with Trifunovic but the game was well out of their reach by that stage of the game in any case.

Another “Mooysterlass”

Yet another stellar performance from the young Australian midfielder as he picked up another two goals and helped his side cruise to yet another win. It is no wonder that there is big money talks surrounding Mooy after his performances so far this season.

The Jets did give Mooy a little too much respect, however, as they stood off him for most of the match and allowed him to play. But take nothing away from Mooy who has been simply unplayable at times this season. If City are to mount a title challenge it will come largely down to whether or not their star can stay fit and firing.
