Brisbane Roar

Jamie Young – 7: The reserve keeper played well in the absence of injured number one Michael Theo. He did a solid job between the sticks and made one excellent save from Bonevacia’s close-range attempt in the first-half.

Jerome Polenz – 6.5: A mixed performance tonight. Good going forward, some average defending and a justified yellow card early.

Daniel Bowles – 5: Was consistent if unspectacular tonight, guilty of a few defensive mistakes.

Jade North – 5.5: Another lapse in concentration for North cost a goal as his miscued header let in Sarpong and Krishna pounced. Atoned for the error with equalizer in the 60th minute but it was not enough to secure any points.

Jack Hingert – 5: Looked to get forward and caused the Phoenix defence problems on the occasion. Struggled at times with the Nix front three.

Corona – 6.5: Less impressive tonight than he was last game, but still looks to be a key player for the Roar this season.

Matt McKay (c) – 7: Another energetic performance full of endeavour couldn’t see his side to victory.

Dimitri Petratos – 8: The midfielder took his goal well and looked threatening throughout the match. Brisbane’s best player tonight.

Thomas Broich – 6.5: He was the best performer of Brisbane’s front three in this game.

Jamie Maclaren – 6: Hustle and bustle personified. Impressive set of lungs. Struggled in front of goal.

Brandon Borrello – 5: In comparison to his previous outing he was anonymous in this game. No goal scoring exploits this time.

 Substitutes

Steven Lustica – 5: Couldn’t make the difference in his short time on the pitch.

Corey Brown – N/A: Little Contribution.

Devante Clut – N/A: Only had a few minutes on the pitch.
