Adelaide United

John Hall – 5.5: There was little he could do about two of the three goals the Nix did score, although his positioning could have been better for Bonevacia’s second while he and Osama Malik were involved in a calamitous mix-up to gift the Nix the leveller.

Tarek Elrich – 6.5: Worked hard and did his job. A couple of neat touches made him the pick of the bunch in an Adelaide defence that once again had a torrid evening.

Dylan McGowan – 6: Part of a defensive unit that was torn apart.

Osama Malik – 4: Gassed by Krishna for Bonevacia’s goal and struggled to cope with the Nix all night.

Michael Marrone – 6: Good work on the flanks, but got a needless yellow card.

James Jeggo – 6: A hard worker, has pace to burn and looked dangerous at times. Little reward and found Gulley a tough nut to crack.

Isaias – 6.5: Looked the part when he got on the ball but was otherwise outplayed by a fully firing Phoenix midfield group.

George Mells – 5: Did not really make an impact and was eventually replaced by Carrusca.

Craig Goodwin – 7.5: Solid performance. Deserved his goal and could have got a few more as he excelled at getting himself into the right position to shoot all game.

Bruce Djite – 6: Frustrated for the majority of the game by the Wellington rear-guard. Had an okay game.

Sergio Ciro – 6: Looked more threatening than Djite but was similarily frustrated throughout the encounter.

Substitutes

Marcelo Carrusca – 6: Did well once he came on and looked good. Surprising that he did not start this game.

Pablo Sanchez – 6: Scored a goal so gets a mention. Came on a bit too late, however.

Bruce Kamau – N/A: Came on when it was too late to change the game.
