The favourites got off to a flying start through a Mario Gomez penalty on 13 minutes, only for Slovakia to strike back through a sublime long range effort from Marek Hamsik.
The Napoli attacker curled in a powerful effort five minutes before half-time to engineer an encouraging come-from-behind victory.

Slovakia could be one of the wildcards of Euro 2016, who are in Group B with England, Wales and Russia.
