Arsenal’s stunning result throws the cat among the pigeons after they looked dead and buried following their two woeful performances against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos. Bayern are still top of the group with six points but the Gunners have now clawed their way back into calculations, drawing level on points with Dinamo.
The reverse fixture at the Allianz Arena on matchday four will be a fascinating encounter, with the North Londoners possessing a good record in Munich being unbeaten in their last two visits. In what looked like a foregone conclusion when this group was announced, it has been anything but so far, with all four teams still well and truly in the hunt to progress through to the round of 16.
The Champions League group stages have at times been accused of lacking unpredictability and excitement, however, this group is well and truly up for grabs, with everything to play for over the next three matchdays.
