Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic has responded in the perfect way possible after being forced to watch on from the bench during Celtic’s 7-0 Champions League thumping at the hands of Barcelona.

Rogic timed a run perfectly into the box to meet Kieran Tierney’s cross at the edge of the six-yard area, giving his side the lead inside 17 minutes against Inverness last night.

The former Central Coast Mariner was withdrawn with six minutes remaining in the contest as Celtic looked to hold on for three points away from home, but were eventually denied by Inverness Caledonian’s Alex Fisher, who levelled the game at 2-2 in the 89th minute.

In 10 matches across all competitions this season, Rogic has scored five goals and assisted one.

Across the continent to the Netherlands and goalkeeper Brad Jones continued his dream week as he helped Feyenoord claim their seventh straight win after a 1-0 victory against PSV.

If not for Jones the result could have been completely different, with the former Liverpool man producing a stunning save in the dying stages of the match.

Feyenoord now sit five points at the top of the table, with the Aussie shot-stopper having conceded just three goals so far this season.
