Fantasy football game www.oulala.com have revealed the Premier League’s top 10 players to have completed the most successful passes this season and a surprise player currently leads the pack.

Bournemouth’s Andrew Surman has completed 1,073 successful passes in the Premier League, the most by any player in English football’s top flight. The 29-year-old is currently outperforming the likes of Cesc Fàbregas, Mesut Özil and Yaya Touré.

The South African-born midfielder has registered a healthy 86 per cent pass completion, created 24 chances and registered one assist for the Cherries this term.

Everton’s Gareth Barry sits second in the table having completed 1,055 successful passes.

Last season’s top passer in the Premier League, Cesc Fàbregas, finds himself third this season. At this stage in the 2014/15 season, the Spaniard had successfully completed 1,373 passes. However, after the opening 20 games this term, the 28-year-old has only managed to register 1,048 successful passes.

Arsenal boast three players to feature in the top ten. Mesut Özil and Santi Cazorla claim fifth and sixth, while Aaron Ramsey takes tenth spot.

The top ten is heavily dominated by midfielders, however two defenders make the grade. Swansea City captain Ashley Williams finds himself seventh having made 996 successful passes, while Daley Blind is the Premier League’s ninth best passer.

You have to go all the way down to eighty-third spot to find a forward. Alexis Sánchez has completed 522 successful passes in the Premier League this season, the most by any striker.
