Only one week in, the 2015-16 Premier League season has already shown that the highest level of talent will be required to reach the summit.

With the rumours of Manchester City’s interest in Barcelona’s Claudio Bravo and the the reports surrounding Joe Hart’s imminent departure, the gang at oulala.com has taken a look at how the two glovemen compare in four key technical areas, qualities that Pep Guardiola demands from all his players – including the goalkeeper.

Having now cemented his role as Barcelona’s first choice custodian, Bravo was just as menacing between the posts as the team’s attack on the road to another La Liga title.

The most telling figure of all might be the 33-year-old’s average of 16 passes per game that fall within 28-metres, seemingly far better experienced at playing the ball out from the defence and therefore suiting Guardiola’s tactics – whereas Hart would more often favour the long ball. The Englishman is also dominated in terms of passing and distribution accuracy.

Bravo also backed this up on the international stage as Chile claimed the Copa America Centenario, while the current City No.1 had to suffer through the Three Lions’ humiliating Euro 2016 quarter-final exit.
