Shooting Inaccuracies

Milan had 24 shots overall in the game, with only four of those shots on target. It is something that the team will need to work on in the future. With only one goal coming from those 24 shots, Mihajlovic will be hoping that Balotelli makes a return sometime soon

Milan missing Balotelli

Speaking of, Mario Balotelli is still out under an injury cloud, and Sinisa Mihajlovic said during the week that the fiery Italian striker still can’t run properly. Sidelined since September 27 with a groin injury, Mihajlovic reported during the week that he was unable to put a timeframe on his return due to the injury. The Liverpool loanee had looked like finding his form of old right before his injury, and with Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano both struggling to find consistent form, his return would be rather welcomed.

Mihajlovic Pressure Eases

Two wins in two matches leaves Mihajlovic with some breathing space, after coming under scrutiny thanks to the poor performance of the team earlier in the season. The under-pressure manager looked exasperated after the team drew 1-1 with Torino just two weeks ago, where they gave up a 1-0 lead 10 minutes after scoring. Gambling on Donnarumma has proven to be a key factor in the quick resurgence for the team, and the defense has steadily improved. The Rossoneri have now gone from 11th spot to eighth on the Serie A ladder, and will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they play Lazio on Sunday night.
