VfL Wolfsburg

Diego Benaglio — 7: Produced high-quality saves at all the right times.

Marcel Schafer — 6.5: A rare start but largely uneventful for the more experienced full-back who did his job defensively.

Naldo — 6.5: Showed his defensive class but could have given away a penalty.

Dante — 7: The new boy showed what he can do both in defence and in helping set up the Wolves going forward.

Christian Trasch — 6.5: Did what he needed to and combined well with the attacking players.

Josuha Guilavogui — 8: Shone as a shield to the back four and slotted in nicely when Naldo bounded forward.

Andre Schurrle — 6: Coming close to finding form but just not quite enough to impact the scoreline.

Max Kruse — 6: Quiet game playing a little deeper than usual.

Julian Draxler — 8: Hardly missed a pass and nearly scored a replica of his goal against CSKA Moscow. The kid can play.

Daniel Caliguri — 8.5: A pest, a nuisance to the defenders. Beautiful run and pass for the first goal and provided the spark Wolfsburg needed.

Nicklas Bendtner — 5.5: Missed a golden opportunity and was a little lacklustre.

Substitutes

Bas Dost — 7.5: Came off the bench to score twice.

Maximillian Arnold — 5.5: Changed the dynamic up front and quite nearly set up a goal within a few minutes of coming on.

Sebastian Jung — N/A: Did not have much to do.
