Paris St-Germain

Kevin Trapp – 5: Played much better than last weekend against Bordeaux but still looks less than confident when coming off his line.

Gregory Van Der Weil – 5.5: Made an important clearance in the first-half, was on alert all the time up and down the right side, did not offer too much creatively though.

Marquinhos – 6.5: A great talent, made several important challenges and was a rock beside a sometimes shaky Thiago Silva.

Thiago Silva – 5.5: Solid, but made a mistake that almost gave Reims the lead, will be looking for a better performance midweek.

Layvin Kurzama – 5: Good up the left thanks against a slow Traore, but equally slow getting back to defend himself. Has settled in well at PSG.

Javier Pastore – 6.5: Always shows what he is capable of, but not quite consistenly enough. Made space for himself and assisted for Cavani’s goal.

Marco Verrati – 6: Demonstrated an exquisite eye for a pass throughout the match. Can be accused of not spreading play quickly enough though.

Benjamin Stambouli – 4: Struggled for his new club and did not impose himself like a holding-midfielder should, however, that will come with age and he will look forward to more opportunities.

Lucas – 3.5: Worst player on the field. Made some early runs but seemed to get tired very quickly and did not have any effect on the result. Replaced by goalscorer Cavani mid-way through the second-half.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 5: Got into great scoring positions but was unable to break his Ligue 1 drought for this season. Still an imposing figure on the field and it will not be long until the iconic Swede is banging them in again.

Ezequiel Lavezzi – 4.5: Had a shot cleared off the line in the first half but, like Lucas, faded very quickly. Did not have much of an impact otherwise.

Substitutes

Angel Di Maria – 5: Replaced Lavezzi in the second-half and offered much more. Dangerous crosses when he got in good positions and already looks back to his best.

Blaise Matuidi – 5: Immediately shored up the PSG midfield. Was able to stop several counter-attacks.

Edinson Cavani – 6: Scored another goal to add to his tally and is working hard to negate Ibrahimovic’s lack of goals so far this term.
