Atlético Madrid
Jan Oblak – 8: Continuously proves the difference at times for this Atléti side, producing key saves at crucial moments. Another impressive performance by the young goalkeeper.
Jesús Gámez – 6.5: While not usually in the first team, Gámez continues to produce reliable and dependable performances when required. Defensively strong and threatened with his long range throws.
Stefan Savić – 6: The summer signing has continued his impressive beginning to La Liga, with his partnership with the experienced Godín looking strong.
Diego Godín -6: Reliable as usual at the back, preventing Betis’ forwards any chances close to goal, however, was wasteful with his headers following set pieces up front.
FilipeLuís -6.5: The Brazilian was solid at the back as well as his duties adventuring forward providing another outlet on the wing.
Koke – 8: The Spanish international was placed on the right wing, though it did not stop him from grabbing the important goal that gifted the three points. A man of the match performance that continues to showcase how vital the Spanish international is to Atléti.
Gabi – 6.5: Alongside Tiago shielded his defenders well while controlling play and possession, however, was wasteful with his shooting.
Tiago – 6.5: Controlled possession with composure and looked to make things happen from the centre, while still performing his defensive duties.
Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco – 6: Missed a glorious chance to extend Atléti’s advantage just before halftime. His dribbling and pace beat Piccini on more than one occasion, however, could not provide quality service.
Antoine Griezmann – 5.5: Another performance to forget for the Frenchman. A tireless display and got into great positions, yet his finishing was poor for his standards.
Fernando Torres – 6.5: While not making it on the score sheet, it was his attempt that led to Koke’s goal. Showed real determination and commitment in Martínez’ absence.
