Raphael Varane – 7: His importance was key in matching the pace of Vietto and Griezmann.
Sergio Ramos – 5: An average game for the Spaniard but did concede what could have been a costly penalty.
Marcelo – 6.5: It was the usual from the Brazilian, penetrating runs on the left into the attack.
Dani Carvajal – 7.5: His pace was fantastic and an asset to Los Galacticos. He made the most of the right-wing and utilised it constantly. Yet was replaced by Arbeloa due to injury.
Toni Kroos – 5: Held the ball well but needed an injection of pace.
Isco – 4: A below average game for the Spaniard as his attacking drive seemed absent.
Luka Modric 4.5 – Cut inside at times from the left but his influence grew smaller as the match progressed.
Casemiro – 6.5: Excellent defending for most of the match.
Cristiano Ronaldo – 4.5: Had strikes on goal but were wayward as he was too focused on breaking Raul’s record rather than helping his team.
Karim Benzema – 6: Scored the opening goal after nine minutes of play.
Substitutes
Alvaro Arbeloa – 3: Replaced Carvajal yet did not provide anywhere near as much pace.
Gareth Bale – N/A: Barely got a touch.
Mateo Kovacic – N/A: Late substitute.
