Carlos Bacca (Milan vs Palermo)
This is Bacca’s second time in our top 5 and it has been well deserved.
Palermo’s centre-backs could not keep Bacca under control and he proved to be the difference come the end of 90 minutes. A wonderful display of understanding between the Columbian and and Bonaventura saw a short pass in the box and Bacca calmly slotted into the back of the net. A wonderful header from the penalty spot delivered by Davide Calabria sealed the game for Milan, after Bacca tried to do the spectacular earlier in the game, only for the effort to be saved.
It seems Milan have finally found a centre forward and when Jeremy Menez returns from injury, Mihajlovic could have some selection headaches.
Big shoes to fill then, Carlos.
Galliani “On the pitch, Carlos Bacca reminds me of Schevchenko. His header against Palermo was like Sheva’s header against Roma in 2004.”
