Neymar has tied the legendary Zico at fourth position on Brazil’s all-time goalscoring standings, after netting a winner against Colombia.

The 24-year-old has been ever-present at international level, already amassing 72 appearances and scoring 48 goals – an incredible feat for a player at such a tender age.

The Olympic gold medalist from the recent Rio games often shares the limelight with fellow superstars Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi at his club FC Barcelona, but is very much a central figure for the Seleção.

Neymar, who began his career at Brazilian side Santos, now sits behind Pele (77 goals), Ronaldo (62), and Romario (55) on the all-time list, has every chance of moving up to the top before his career comes to an end.

Brazil came away with a 2-1 win at the Arena Da Amazonia thanks to Neymar’s 74th minute winner, after Marquinhos’s first-half own goal canceled out Miranda’s opener in the second minute.

The Brazilians are now in second position in the qualification standings for Russia 2018
