Footwear brand New Balance has entered the football market, launching its first ever boot range to accompany new kit supply deals with elite football clubs.
The American label is a new player on the footballing apparel scene after lengthy ventures mainly in the athletics market.
New Balance has taken over the club gear supply deals of subsidiary company Warrior, under which it began its foray into the world game. Those teams include Liverpool, Stoke City, Celtic, FC Porto and Sevilla, as well as the Costa Rica and Panama national teams.
Boot ranges launched by the Boston-based manufacturer are the Visaro and Furon and come in a variety of models, including leather finishes, futsal shoes and junior sizes.
New Balance has secured some of the biggest names in the game to act as brand ambassadors, with Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany and Aaron Ramsey joining the revolution as well as Socceroos Tim Cahill and Massimo Luongo.
