The gang had the pleasure of speaking to Herald Sun football writer Matt Windley on the Daily Football Show on all things A-League after the opening round.
There were plenty of surprises as always during the opening weekend, as well as plenty of controversy which the A-League is no stranger to.
The gang kicked off the discussion by getting Matt’s thoughts on the weekend’s action, with the disappointing crowds a major talking point everywhere from Adelaide to Sydney, where the Herald Sun journalist found himself on Saturday night.
In the firing line was also Wanderers keeper Andrew Redmayne who copped a bit of a whack from fellow goalkeeper and special guest Melissa Barbieri, after his scratchy performance in the season opener on Thursday night.
To round out the discussion, the gang continued with the goalkeeping theme of the show and discusses Thomas Sorensen’s big impact for Melbourne City on Saturday night and whether he just be might a better signing that most City fans first would have thought.
