Western Sydney Wanderers

Andrew Redmayne – 6: Shaky at times, especially when a howler almost cost his side on halftime. Could do little about the Jets goal.

Scott Neville – 7: A good game again from a player playing his former side. Unlucky with a header that Birighitti saved expertly

Jonathan Aspropotamitis – 7: Solid display from the young man. His future is looking brighter by the week.

Nikolai Topor-Stanley – 7: Yellow card aside he was solid again for the Wanderers. Won everything centrally and kept Trifunovic under wraps for most of the contest.

Scott Jamieson – 5: Struggled. Alivodic got in behind him on numerous occasions. Lee Ki-Je did as well. He will bounce back.

Andreu  – 8: Superb in front of his back four. Never looked like turning the ball over. Was calm and composed from the spot to equalise.

Dimas Delgado – 6:Was less effective than his partner in holding midfield.

Mitch Nichols – 6: Looked off the pace this afternoon. Didn’t create much in the front third and was held for most of the match. Did pop up late with the winner to break Newcastle hearts and add gloss to his performance.

Dario Vidosic – 5: Much like Nichols. Looked dangerous at times, then peripheral. Needs to improve to fire his side up the ladder. Subbed off early second half.

Federico Piovaccari – 7: Was one of his better displays this season. Was powerful and direct and gave young Jackson some real issues throughout. Was taken off for Santalab midway through the second half.

Jaushua Sotirio – 6: Showed he has bags of potential but was well held by Hoffman for the majority of the match.

Mark Bridge – 8: Changed the momentum when he came on. Could be pushing for a start in the near future.

Brendon Santalab – 6: Won what looked a dubious penalty. Outside of that he was rarely sighted in limited minutes.

Romeo Castelen – 8: Was a real problem late on against a tiring defence. Like Bridge he could be forcing his way back into the starting side.
