Liverpool have accepted a £6m offer from Bournemouth for the services of left-back Brad Smith.
According to reports, the Reds could insert a buy-back clause in his contract with Cherries.
The Socceroos’ promising youngster will join winger Jordon Ibe, who made the switch to Bournemouth from Anfield last week in a £15m deal.
The 22-year-old joined the Liverpool academy in 2013, after he was scouted by Liverpool officials when playing for his local high school side.
Smith made his first senior team appearance for Liverpool against Chelsea in a 2-1 loss on December 29, 2013.
Here are some of the best reactions from the fans on Twitter:
£6 mil fee is high praise for @Socceroos Brad Smith. Shame to leave LFC but Bournemouth is a club on the rise & he’ll get EPL opportunities.

@Outside90 Sad as I’m a Redman, but good for @bradsmith_94, the @Socceroos & more game time means experience. Buy back clause also. All good

Once the deal for Brad Smith is confirmed, I’ll try to force Eddie Howe in signing Wisdom & Ilori for a combine £15m aswell. #lfc

6 million for Brad Smith is pointless if we go out and spend 10 million on Ben Chilwell.

By introducing Brad Smith into the team and giving him game time, Klopp basically covered his annual salary. #LFC

£6m for Brad Smith? Someone at #LFC is having a golden run on these sales.

Brad Smith leaving now! Klopp is changing LFC at a speed and with a determinism that I just haven’t seen before. I’ve been a fan since 1978!

Brad Smith off then. Surely we are signing a LB then. Just hope it’s someone who can defend first

I actually like Brad Smith. But 6 mp for a player who has barely started any league games for us is terrific business
— Hari (@harikriss) July 24, 2016
£6m for Brad Smith is fucking mad.
— The Anfield Chat (@TheAnfieldChat) July 24, 2016
Putting aside the heart/bias on this one but sound business on Brad Smith. Surely a new LB around the corner.
