Everton have developed a notoriously bad reputation on deadline days gone by.
And the latest one has done little to enhance that reputation, with the club missing out on both Yacine Brahimi, touted as a record signing, and Moussa Sissoko, who ended up moving to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
In the end, the Toffees signed West Ham United forward Enner Valencia in a move that left the club’s supporters frustrated at the close of the transfer window once more.

The Ecuadorian has joined the Merseysiders on loan, but reports indicate the move could be made permanent next summer for a fee in the range of £14 million.
He joins the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Ashley Williams, Maarten Stekelenberg and Idrissa Gueye as first team options to move to Goodison Park.
The Blues also added Sheffield United youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the final day.

Thanks @Everton for reminding me that as an Evertonian, hope and joy in a transfer window is something for other other fans and not us #EFC
