Liverpool came away 4-0 victors in the 226th Merseyside Derby at Anfield.

Who bombed on the night? You will not be pleased, Everton fans.

Ramiro Funes Mori (Everton) – A moment of madness and stupidity has earned Funes Mori with the game’s worst player. The challenge that ultimately got him sent off was enough to suggest he let the club down. It was still only 2-0 at the time of the red card, despite it being unlikely, a comeback potentially was not out of Everton’s reach. Leaving Origi stretchered off only adds to what was a disgraceful tackle by the Argentine.

Bryan Oviedo (Everton) – The clearance from Oviedo early in the game that left Adam Lallana one-on-one with the Everton goalkeeper was enough to suggest he could be in for a rough one, and he certainly did have a rough one. Oviedo never looked comfortable at any point playing as a right full-back and Liverpool exposed him. He was the weak link in an already fragile Everton back four.

John Stones (Everton) – Stomach cramps or not, Stones was average. He is certainly a talent and that is why clubs were so keen on him back in the summer transfer window, but he simply has not been good enough for the Blues this season. He may still be young, but tonight was one of those nights you need your better players to step up and he did not. His positional play and understanding of the game was nowhere to be seen.
