Joshua King left stranded

Starting with the young Norwegian up front, Howe would have hoped he could have produced more in the final third – failing to take any of the four opportunities his side worked for.

With a single goal in 13 Premier League appearances, King’s ability to command the front line of Bournemouth’s attack is being brought into question and is no doubt weighing on the thoughts of manager, Eddie Howe.

Struggling with a knock picked up from Kurt Zouma in the first-half, King was eventually removed for traditional target-man in Glenn Murray. The Englishman provided the strikers instinct that Bournemouth had been without in the 82nd minute to clinch the three points for his side.

Diego Costa still struggling with discipline:

Costa has come under harsh criticism of late for his off-the-ball antics, most famously against Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista, but has shown very few signs of improvement and quickly relapsed after coming on against Bournemouth.

Introduced at halftime, it took only 18 minutes before Costa found in name in referee Mike Jones’ book for a frustrated challenge on Matt Ritchie, further amplified by an overzealous reaction.

The Brazilian-born-Spaniard has not only come under heavy criticism from game’s fans and the footballing administration, but also from within his own camp-struggling for game time at Chelsea as well as recently being withheld by Spanish manager, Vicente del Bosque. The Spain boss claiming.

“What he did was unedifying, and that is why he was punished… He hasn’t played badly and it’s not on merit.”
