Conclusion
Chelsea were hamstrung by their own player, and Willian and Ramires will likely throw some heavy dressing-room shade at Matic, who sounded the death knell for his team with his tempestuousness. West Ham were excellent, defending and attacking with an Iron will, and have now beaten four of last season’s top six. They go second, if only briefly, with this victory.
