West Brom

Boaz Myhill – 5: He lacked bravery for the defining goal and was very slow to react to the rebound when Lukaku bared down on him.

Chris Brunt – 6: Produced a wonderful set piece for West Brom’s goal but gave Deulofeu so much time for both of his assists. He may get a bit of a dressing down from Tony Pulis. No one really deserves that.

Jonny Evans – 4.5: Expected more from an experienced centre back, instead Lukaku bullied him in the second half, especially for the third goal.

Jonas Olsson – 5.5: Went off injured with a groin problem after 26 minutes. Had looked solid up until that point.

Craig Dawson – 5.5: Scored West Brom’s second but defensively was powerless to stop a rampaging Lukaku.

James McClean – 5.5: Struggled to make an impact going forward but played dutifully, sticking to task well.

Claudio Yacob – 6: Battled well but could not control the midfield. Everton had the larger share of possession throughout.

Darren Fletcher – 6.5: Kept Everton’s attacking midfielders at bay for large parts but looked to tire late on allowing them to gain a foothold that triggered the comeback.

James Morrison – 5.5: Had his hands full with an overloaded Everton midfield meaning his attacking instincts were restricted to no more than speculative runs and shots.

Saido Berahino – 7: Took his goal well, outwitting the full back. His movement off the flank was, at times, very dangerous. West Brom were singing his name after the goal – signs he has been forgiven.

Solomon Rondon – 6: Was a nuisance up front but hardly had a sniff. Subbed off so West Brom could go more defensive.

Substitutes

James Chester – 5: Came on for Ollsson early on and misread the flight of the ball for Everton’s first goal.

Craig Gardener – 5: Brought on to solidify the midfield when West Brom led. Didn’t really happen for him.

Rickie Lambert – 4.5: Had his chance to salvage a point late on, but missed. The goal drought continues for the striker.
