Manchester City
Joe Hart – 5: Hard to call him at fault for any of the goals and was under immense pressure as his defence was repeatedly breached.
Aleksandar Kolarov – 4: Slow both physically and mentally in this match. Severely outclassed by Mané.
Eliaquim Mangala – 6: Really seemed the only one to be offering any resistance at the back for City.
Nicolás Otamendi – 5: An unimpressive performance from a man tipped to start against Madrid in a few days’ time.
Pablo Zabaleta – 5: Out of sorts and looks to have truly lost out in his battle for a first team spot with Bacary Sagna.
Fernandinho – 5: On for an hour and barely made an impact in that time.
Fabian Delph – 5: Was overrun in midfield and did not seem to make good on his chance in this one.
Raheem Sterling – 5.5: Missed a good chance to score from close-range and did not make any claim for a spot against Real.
Samir Nasri – 6.5: Had some flashes. In setting up Iheanacho’s goal, he may have earned his name on the UCL team sheet.
Wilfried Bony – 5.5: Struggled for service but failed to make much happen.
Kelechi Iheanacho – 8.5: Superb yet again from the 19-year-old. First, a terrific reaction goal followed by expertly placed second. Contesting hotly with Marcus Rashford for the title of most exciting new striking talent.
Substitutes
Martin Demichelis – 4: Brought on as an unusual midfield replacement and hardly seemed a good fit. Substituted on for Fernandinho in the 60th minute.
Jesús Navas – 6: Offered some creative influence coming into the game. Substituted on for Delph in the 64th minute.
