Derby clashes headline FFA Cup quarter-final draw

Two derby fixtures between member federation clubs and A-League powerhouses headline the 2016 FFA Cup quarter-final draw.

Football Federation Australia has released the full schedule of fixtures for the next stage of the tournament, beginning on the 21st of September.

The opening night of the quarter-finals will see PlayStation 4 NPL Champions Blacktown City facing Graham Arnold’s Sydney FC in Edensor Park, while their crosstown rivals, Western Sydney Wanderers come up against Melbourne City in a blockbuster all A-League affair.

NPL Victoria 2016 Premiers Bentleigh Greens then battle reigning FFA Cup holders Melbourne Victory the following week in what promises to be an electric contest, with Canberra Olympic and Green Gully also clashing for a spot in the tournament’s final four.

2016 FFA Cup 2016 quarter-final fixtures:

Wednesday 21st September

Blacktown City vs Sydney FC – Sydney United Sports Centre, Edensor Park (7:30pm)

Melbourne City FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers – AAMI Park, Melbourne (7:30pm)

Tuesday 27th September

Bentleigh Greens vs Melbourne Victory – Kingston Heath Soccer Complex, Cheltenham (7:30pm)

Canberra Olympic vs Green Gully – Deakin Stadium, Deakin ACT (7:30pm)
