Liverpool outcast Lazar Markovic has signed for Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old told the media he did not want to move back to Portugal and would rather stay in the Premier League with a different club.
The Serbian will now spend the season at the Estadio Jose Alvlade after Liverpool confirmed the departure of the winger.

AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Newcastle United were all rumoured to be courting the attacker, however the player now finds himself back in Portugal. After 34 appearances for Liverpool since his£20m move from Benfica in 2014, the player has failed to assert himself as a first-team regular.
A loan spell with Fenerbahce was blighted by hamstring injuries as he struggled to find his best form.
During pre-season he showed glimpses of his potential to Jurgen Klopp, but it was not enough to convince the Reds boss of being in his squad for the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.
Markovic now has a chance to reinvigorate his career under the watchful eye of former Benfica manager Jorge Jesus.
