You know you’ve scored the Goal of the Week when the community does the talking for you…by a mile. Aaroncr77’s entry was just that popular on AUSFIFA, setting a new record for likes on a GOTW submission.
Strap yourself in, because this is one hell of a worldie.
The clip begins with Sameer25 in possession outside the box. A short run towards the top of the D and the defender steps in to tackle him, but the ball deflects favourably to his teammate Aaron.
What happens next defies all imagination.
Running away from goal with a man on, he executes a RIDICULOUS Bolasie flick around the defender, meeting the ball on the half volley and thumping it into the top corner!
It is outrageous. It is implausible. It is utterly nonsensical. There are not enough superlatives to describe such a goal, but this is as filthy as it gets.
