The Premier League Golden Boot award goes to the top scorer in the Premiership during the season. This year, there are a few surprise names vying for the award. We have decided to take a look at some of the contenders for this year’s Golden Boot award, and we will provide you with their online soccer betting odds of winning the award.

Leicester City is sitting on top of the Premier League standings thanks in part to Jamie Vardy, who has been a goal scoring machine for Leicester City all season long. Vardy currently leads the league in goals with 19, but he is tied with Tottenham’s Harry Kane. Everton’s Romero Lukaku is right behind the pair with 18 goals, and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero has 16 goals for the year.

With only eight games left in the season, which one of these players will win the Golden Boot award?

Jamie Vardy

If Leicester City fails to win the Premier League title, Vardy winning the Golden Boot will be somewhat of a consolation prize to cap the storybook season Leicester City had this year. With Harry Kane keeping pace with him, Vardy needs to add a few more goals to put some distance between him and Kane. With games against teams like Sunder Land and Swansea on their schedule, Vardy will have plenty of opportunities to add to his goal total.

Remaining Games on Schedule: Sunderland (H), Swansea (H), Everton (H), West Ham (H). Crystal Palace (A), Sunderland (A), Manchester United (A), Chelsea (A).

Odds of Winning Golden Boot: 5/2

Harry Kane

Kane has been great all season and even better recently. Kane scored two goals in Tottenham’s victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, which put him in a tie with Vardy for the Premier League lead. With Tottenham sitting eight points behind Leicester City, they need to get as many points as possible, which means they will be relying on Kane for some offense.

Remaining Games on Schedule: Bournemouth (H), Manchester United (H), West Brom (H), Southampton (H). Liverpool (A), Stoke City (A), Chelsea (A), Newcastle (A).

Odds of Winning Golden Boot: 13/8

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku is just one goal behind Kane and Vardy and has a very good chance of passing them. Lukaku is in great form right now and was responsible for helping his side advance in the FA Cup this weekend, so don’t be surprised if he ends up winning the award.

Remaining Games on Schedule: Arsenal (H), Southampton (H), Bournemouth (H), Norwich (H). Manchester United (A), Watford (A), Crystal Palace (A), Leicester (A), Liverpool (A).

Odds of Winning Golden Boot: 5/2

Sergio Aguero

Even though Manchester City’s chances of winning the Premier League title are dwindling, Aguero’s performance has been one of the bright spots in what has been a disappointing season for Manchester City.

Remaining Games on Schedule: Manchester United (H), West Brom (H), Stoke City (H), Arsenal (H). Bournemouth (A), Chelsea (A), Swansea (A), Newcastle (A).

Odds of Winning Golden Boot: 9/2

Riyad Mahrez

Mahrez has been another bright spot for Leicester City this season, but with 15 goals, his chances of catching up to the league leaders are quite slim.

Remaining Games on Schedule: Sunderland (H), Swansea (H), Everton (H), West Ham (H). Crystal Palace (A), Sunderland (A), Manchester United (A), Chelsea (A).

Odds of Winning Golden Boot: 66/1
